Clean, well-appointed room, looks to have been refurbed, freshly painted since our last stay about 12 months. Check-in staff were excellent and very accommodating, were able to add extra night without issue, highly recommended.

We were very pleased with our recent stay at your Hotel especially with Tomas on Reception who greeted us every day with warmth, humour and a smile. He is very efficient and explained everything to us on arrival. Also, Matthew (Porter, Concierge) who was very knowledgeable, helpful and extremely friendly. These staff members are what made our stay pleasant. They are both an asset to your hotel. We did however have issues with housekeeping on 2 occasions - 1. we were not given any facewashers when our room was cleaned. 2. Next day we were not given any new towels when the room had been cleaned???? We also had issues with our breakfast orders in the cafe, and on one particular day we did not receive our coffee (after we had eaten) for over 30 minutes which required us to approach the kitchen to request it. Apart from these issues, having stayed at other hotels in the area when we visit Cairns each April, we may continue to stay at your hotel in future as we are Reef Casino members and spend much of our time (and money) in the Casino. If the housekeeping and cafe issues could be addressed, we would have given an extremely satisfied feedback.
